Friends at Nurse Aide Educators' Conferences
As nurse aide educators are aware, few events celebrate their accomplishments, the value they bring, and the specialized skills needed to teach nursing assistants. Unfortunately, without these conferences and similar networking opportunities, there is a missed opportunity to share valuable training resources and forge collegial relationships in this specialized nursing field. When these rare events occur, they should be spotlighted!
This past June 2024, we welcomed attendees from across the country to the California Nurse Assistant Educators' Conference, and we anticipate an even grander event next year! A huge thank you to Yuko Kawasaki, RN, the event organizer, for a fantastic event and turnout! Stay tuned for details on next year's event in California.
Also in June, the Massachusetts Association of Vocational Administrators (MAVA) hosted their event in Marlborough, Massachusetts, where Vicky Castillo was honored to present. A special thank you to Kathy Faddoul, RN and Kathy Regan, RN, for their gracious hospitality!

Certified Nurse Assistant Program
California residents, long-term care employers, and aspiring CNAs have valuable resources available through the Certified Nurse Assistant Program (CNAP). A multipronged initiative focused on increasing the CNA workforce across the state. CNAP supports employers and CNA candidates in creating a sustainable workforce pipeline and fostering CNA retention through career advancement opportunities.
